Control
Control decks play the long game. They use removal, counterspells, and card advantage to neutralize threats and take over once the dust settles.
Control is the art of saying "no." These decks are built around disruption and patience — answering threats one by one while gradually pulling ahead on resources. The early turns are about survival: removing creatures, countering key spells, and buying time. The payoff comes later, when the control player has exhausted their opponent's resources and can deploy a powerful finisher with protection to back it up. Control rewards players who enjoy reading the game, making precise decisions, and winning through inevitability rather than raw speed.
