Sealed

Sealed is the other half of Limited Magic, and it's most players' first tournament experience — it's the format used at prerelease events for every new set. Each player opens six booster packs and builds a 40-card deck from their card pool with no trading or drafting. The skill here is in evaluation and deckbuilding: figuring out which colors and cards in your pool give you the most cohesive and powerful deck. Because you don't control what you open, Sealed rewards adaptability and the ability to identify your pool's strengths rather than forcing a strategy. It's a great equalizer and a format that consistently creates memorable, unique gameplay experiences.
